The Estalagem do Convento is located next to the entrance of the walled city of Obidos, surrounded by traditional buildings with white outer walls and blue edges. The Estalagem used to be a monastery and its construction dates back to the medieval times. The bedrooms are spacious, traditionally decorated and have retained the original furnishings, belonging originally to the nuns; the beds are cast iron framed and there are hand painted furnitures.
